Our aims
We aim to celebrate the diverse and changing community that exists in our area, concentrating especially on:

  1. Programmes for minority segments of the community.
  2. Inter-generational work, bringing young and old together in creative and engaging ways.
  3. Education, especially community education for those who have been failed by or bypassed by the established education structure

Where we are
The St Francis Centre is situated on Fencepiece Road in the London Borough of Redbridge, where the areas of Barkingside, Chigwell and Hainault meet. Our community hall was opened in 2008.

What we offer
We run several community projects at the St Francis Centre, working in partnership with local voluntary and educational organisations and charities, as well as our centre being available for community users.

Sessional hire of our facilities is available. At-cost rates are available for non-profit making organisations whose aims are consonant with our own, at the discretion of our bookings team. Our hall facilities are also available for commercial hire. Please call 020 8500 4158 for bookings enquiries.

The St Francis Centre is funded by our users and by the generosity of various grant-making bodies.
